How do I use WebHooks?

A webhook is a method of augmenting or altering the behavior of a web page, or web application, with custom callbacks. These callbacks may be maintained, modified, and managed by third-party users and developers who may not necessarily be affiliated with the originating website or application.

Digioh has many different integrations, with many different companies, however, if you need to push your lead to a company that is not on the list, a webhook could be used in place. Or, if there is a specific task you need accomplished with your lead/data, that Digioh does not currently offer/provide, a webhook implementation and manually manipulating the data, would best suit your needs.

Just follow these instructions and you'll be up and running in no time.

Step 1

Log into Digioh and click Integrations.

Step 2

Click the Create a New Integration button

Step 3

On the next page, give your integration a friendly name, select "custom" from the integration drop down menu, enter your form post URL (the URL you want info submitted via the lightbox pushed to), and select JSON from the post type dropdown menu. You can also select a lightbox to apply the integration to, though this isn't required to create the integration (you can select a lightbox to use the integration on at a later time if you prefer). The end result should look something like the screen below.

Click the Create Integration button once everything is configured correctly.

Step 4

On the next page, enter the field name in the top field. The field name is the name of your field as it appears in your form code. In the field value field, enter the Digioh designation for the field in question. So, if you have a field in your form named "email" and you want the email field on your lightbox to send info to that field, you would set things up like this:

If you aren't sure of the field name, you can find it in the HTML code for your form.

Once your field is configured correctly, click the Add Custom Field button

NOTE: Please note, these fields are case sensitive.

That's all there is to it! Now, whenever a lead is submitted from the Lightbox you selected, a JSON response will be submitted to the URL you supplied.
